i360 test flights reach full height

i360 receives Guinness World Record!

Brighton’s British Airways i360 has been awarded the Guinness World Record for the most slender tower in the world, with a height to width aspect ratio of 41.15 to 1. British Airways i360 West Pier Observation Tower

Not even the very windy conditions could halt progress and on 14 January the last segments of the glass viewing pod were lowered into place. Now that the i360 tower has reached it’s full height of 162m, work continues to dismantle the jacking tower. It’s official: Brighton i360 tower is already the tallest structure in Sussex

The Brighton i360 tower is now officially the tallest structure in Sussex. Having reached 120 metres high the seafront attraction is now taller than nearby Sussex Heights (102 metres) and Shoreham Power Station’s chimney (106 metres).
